There’s something about a trio of women who know how to put men in their place. It’s not exactly a compelling idea, but it’s sure to tickle your fancy if you’re looking for some thrills, so I can’t really knock it. I imagine I’d be knocked off a guard watchtower if I were to do so, or maybe I’d find myself on the receiving end of some rather unpleasant torture. Either way, I’m glad I got to see Lynn, Mai Ling, and Jo revolt against their enemies. It made for an enjoyable viewing experience, and on top of that, I found the action scenes to my liking.

Greed is the name of the game as both Lynn and her sisters and Malavasi and his posse become privy to a trunk full of money. It’s a simple ingredient really, but considering that a million bucks doesn’t go unnoticed, it’s no surprise that the big guns see the light of day. There’s a lot of shooting; there’s a lot of adrenaline that emanates from the screen. It’s quite a rush. Plus, the lure of getting rich quickly is a constant, so you can bet you have your share of your gung-ho characters who don’t think twice about protecting the coveted prize. Malavasi is an example of such; in fact, he’s the kind of guy who stops at nothing to get what he wants. A real charmer, isn’t he?

I wouldn’t say that the sex scenes are explicit or striking; if anything, they’re few and far between. On the other hand, they show that the women aren’t afraid to take advantage of the men. They have a confidence about them, which is worth pointing out considering that Lynn and her partners eventually prevail and procure the money. There’s no doubt in my mind that they have their wits about them, and not only that, but they don’t mess around when it comes to coming out on top. If Malavasi and One Eye knew that, they wouldn’t have been buried up to their necks in the sand. A humiliating fate indeed.

Savage Sisters isn’t a film that will make you think, nor will it intellectually stimulate you. It is fun, though, and it never fails to entertain. If you can get on board with that, you’ll find that the film is up your alley unless you happen to be at the mercy of a woman who is in pursuit of a briefcase full of money.
